At Beacon Hill students are encouraged to participate in a wide range of enrichment programs. These include, but are not limited to:
- District and area debating
- Public speaking competitions
- Chess club
- Band
- Chamber orchestra
- Choir
- Dance groups
- Drama
- Maths Olympiad
- Forest High Extension classes
- International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS). University NSW awards medals to top scoring students in English, mathematics, science, spelling, writing and computer.
- Sport trials and competitions for individuals and teams
- Young Scientist Awards.
Involvement in these programs may be suited to particular age groups and available spaces.
All classes have students who benefit from extension work in a number of key learning areas. Our professional teachers cater for all students in a variety of ways, including specialised groups within the class and/or grade and enrichment classes which are created when there are enough children to form a multi-aged or composite class.
